For the second to last day of not going to school, I didn’t handle my time very well. There was a striking contrast between Day 1 and today. I started with a strict structure and clear intentions. I ended with hardly any structure and very few intentions—senioritis at its best, er, worst.
Despite a somewhat disappointing finish, the experiment has been an overall success. I’ve learned about myself, about learning, about business, and about other people. I’ve questioned my sanity at times, which I believe is a sign that the project was a success.
I’m reminded of one of Tim Ferriss’ mantras, “no hurry, no pause.” So many times I have been in a rush to do something which has resulted in getting pretty much nothing done. Conversely, I have often paused for too long and subsequently gotten nothing done.
No hurry, no pause.
